This Sunday I am bringing a message to my local church on "New Starts". You can live Facebook in and watch at this link https://mfc.churchonline.org/ .

Also I have an opportunity to share a message on "Reset" in Colorado, see the flyer below.

God is in the business of giving His people new beginnings. You can have a new start. It does not matter your past. God is concerned for your future. As you read this Blog today I am praying for you to see that, you too can have a new start.

There are many that have had a new start!  God is no respecter of persons.
  • Moses recovers after committing murder.
  •  Naomi recovers from losing her husband and sons.
  •  David recovers after committing adultery.
  • Peter recovers after denying Jesus publicly

Restart because MERCY BRINGS:

“For with the LORD there is mercy, And with Him is abundant redemption.” Because of mercy there is forgiveness!

Mercy is not getting the punishment or condemnation we deserve.
Mercy is restraint from revenge.
Mercy is releasing the prisoner from his well deserved sentence.

“If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared.”

Forgiveness is not ignoring or overlooking, or condoning, or making light of sin.
Forgiveness is treating us as if we had done no wrong and giving up the right for revenge or punishment.
Forgiveness is welcoming the prodigal home not as a servant but as a full fledged son.
Forgiveness is not probation, it is pardon.

When God forgives here’s what happens:

“Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean!”
Micah 7:19 (NLT2).

“He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.”
Psalm 103:12 (NLT2).

“Then he says, “‘I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.’” Hebrews 10:17 (NLT2).

“Come now, let’s settle this,’ says the LORD. ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool."
Isaiah 1:18 (NLT2).

ACTION STEP: Come to church this Sunday if you live in the area and hit the "Reset" button on your life. There will be a gift waiting for you. If you live in another area find a church. If you need help contact me and our staff will help you. If you live in the Colorado area make it a point to attend the conference. If you want a different outcome you need to start doing something different!

Prayerfully, I will see you Sunday. I will continue sharing about Resets, Restarts and Rebirths all next week. Blessings to you and yours. You are loved!

Yes, I know we join gyms, purchase diet plans, get ourselves a new pair of running shoes annnnnnnnddddddd--nothing changes. The shoes sit in the box, we don't go to the gym and we eat the remainder of the cookies, and candy from Christmas. It's okay. It's only DAY 2 of the New year. It takes time to break old habits and make new ones, but you can do this.

There is some truth to the fact, we do better with our Grandchildren than we did with our children. We are more patient, yet more strict. We mean what we say, and are not easily talked into things. We major on the majors, and minor on the minors. We love so deeply, yet we know, we only have a small window of opportunity because we have lived through the stage of the window closing. We have another chance to get it right! Ah, the joy of the second chance.

ACTION STEP: Here is where the pastor in me--is going to kick in. You can't do this on your own. Jesus loves you and wants you to succeed, and has sent His Holy Spirit to help you. Let Him. Let go of all the control knobs, and do it yourself ideas, and just pray. Then, pick up that Bible (I know you have one), it's America we all have one, and start reading it! Daily! It matters not, that you think you aren't getting anything, it's archaic, it's too hard to read and pronounce the words--read it anyway. Read it daily. One verse will do. The Word works, only if you work the Word. Oh, and smile. Take it easy on yourself. It is only DAY 2.
